Location - Shelley is located between two larger towns, Idaho Falls and Blackfoot. It is 15 minutes south of Idaho Falls and approximately 25 minutes north of Blackfoot. Shelley is located in Bingham County.
Demographics - According to Shelley city Census 2010 results, the population of the area was approximately 4,409 people. From 2000 to 2010, the Shelley city population growth percentage was 15.6% (or from 3,813 people to 4,409 people)
Parks & Recreation- Residents of Shelley enjoy a relaxed lifestyle in a hometown atmosphere. Shelley has been the home of the Idaho Annual Spud Day since 1927. This event commemorates the harvest of Idaho's most famous export. Shelley hosts four beautiful and very functional city parks; Brinkman Park, Westside Park, Pillsbury Park, and Bingham County North Park.
Schools - Shelley is in school district 60. It features a high school, a middle school and three elementary schools.
